Privacy Policy for FitMatch Sizing Bar

FitMatch ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting the privacy of the merchants who use our application ("Merchants") and the end-customers who shop on Merchants' stores ("End-Customers").

This Privacy Policy explains how we process information when you install and use the FitMatch Sizing Bar Shopify Application (the "App").

1. Our Commitment to Data Minimization

We believe in strict data minimization. FitMatch does not collect, store, profile, or sell any Personal Data. We do not run any persistent customer tracking databases, nor do we capture identifiable data from End-Customers visiting Merchant storefronts.

2. Information We Access and How We Use It

To provide the app’s core functionality, we temporarily interact with data via Shopify’s APIs in the following restricted manners:

A. Information Received from Merchants

When a Merchant installs the App, we access certain administrative data through Shopify's secure API to manage the account and app functionality:

• What we access: Shop name, merchant email address, Shopify domain (.myshopify.com), and specific Product IDs.
• Purpose: To link the App settings dashboard to your specific store and save your custom fit adjustment rules (e.g., matching a Product ID to a "runs small" status).
• Storage: This non-personal configuration data is stored securely solely to maintain your app settings.

B. Information Processed from End-Customers

When an End-Customer interacts with the FitMatch widget on a storefront:

• What we process: The temporary size input entered into the FitMatch browser popup (e.g., selecting size "S" or "9").
• Purpose: This data is processed instantaneously on the client side to compute and display the recommended size adjustment recommendation.
• Storage: We do not store this data. The input is entirely ephemeral and is destroyed the moment the session ends or the browser page is refreshed. We do not collect names, email addresses, IP addresses, cookie tracking data, or device identifiers.

3. Data Retention and Deletion

Because we do not collect or maintain a database of personal merchant or customer records, there is no persistent personal data retained by FitMatch.

Shopify Mandatory Privacy Webhooks

To fully comply with Shopify's developer ecosystem requirements, FitMatch is fully integrated with Shopify's mandatory data privacy webhooks:

• customers/data_request: Because FitMatch does not collect or store customer data, any request received via this webhook will return an empty log, confirming no data is held.
• customers/redact: Since no customer data is ever saved, no data redaction is required upon receiving this request.
• shop/redact: When a Merchant uninstalls the App, Shopify triggers this webhook. Upon receipt, FitMatch immediately and permanently deletes all configuration settings and store metadata associated with that shop domain from our records within 48 hours.

4. Third-Party Data Sharing

We do not share, sell, rent, or trade any information with third-party service providers, advertising networks, or analytics corporations. All application processing happens entirely between the Shopify API, the Merchant configuration, and the End-Customer's device browser window.

5. Rights of Individuals (GDPR / CCPA / International Privacy Laws)

Depending on where your customers reside (including the European Economic Area and various US states), they may hold specific legal rights regarding access, restriction, or erasure of their personal data.

Because FitMatch processes all storefront sizing data ephemerally without storing or linking it to any identity, we do not possess searchable records to modify or delete. To exercise rights concerning overall order details or storefront data, End-Customers should contact the respective Merchant directly.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect shifts in our operational or regulatory requirements. Any updates will be published on this page with an amended "Last Updated" date.
